Missed more than a couple days :( but I’m not giving up!!

what I ate today
+ corned beef, cabbage, rice, water.
+ 12 oz. white mocha.
+ mixed green salad with poppy seed dressing, walnuts and cranberries, cranberry juice.
+ hard boiled egg, mixed green salad with poppy seed dressing and mushrooms, chicken curry, rice, beef steak, peas, water.

wod/exercise/activity
a couple strict pull ups throughout the day, walk approx. 2 miles, dancing.

thoughts

I did the squats pretty late at night but at least I got something in today. Also, not sure on the time because the stopwatch was started late. I added a minute to the time I stopped it at. I’m pretty disappointed that the grapes I picked out weren’t sweet. Poop.

I had a conversation tonight with Faye Marie and decided its time to get back into the game. Box or not, there’s no excuse for laziness and I haven’t made any excuses. Fact is, I just didn’t want to work out. Sad but true. I’ve been down this road before and getting back to it is always the hardest in the beginning. But here we go again. Baby steps.

Ran the inner loop of Greenlake with Faye Marie. It was the first time in awhile since I’ve gone so I was surprised with how fast we finished. We didn’t have a watch but I’m pretty sure we hit under 30 minutes. We did 50 squats as a finisher.

In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. We’ve used this in 3 and 5 round versions. The stations are:

  1. Wall-ball: 14# ball, 10 ft target. (Reps)
  2. Sumo deadlift high-pull: 25 kg (Reps)
  3. Box Jump: 20” box (Reps)
  4. Push-press: 20 kg (Reps)
  5. Row: calories (Calories)

The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. One point is given for each rep, except on the rower where each calorie is one point.

I did 2 pull ups during the 11th minute. They did this WOD earlier in the week but I missed out. It looked like fun. Good warm up ;) and I didn’t rip either!

This was really rough. I’d say the wall ball shots were the hardest part. I went through the box jumps fairly quickly and I jumped on for almost all of them. Cassie, Faye and I were neck-n-neck (is it neck-to-neck??). Great motivation though!

I need to get back on track. Bad. I’m not eating horribly…just bad. I’ll have at least one paleo meal, but then I’ll have an ice cream sundae. If I’m serious about getting those abs, I need get serious about what I eat.
